Computer Will Not Power On

When pressing the power button, computer does not respond or turn on.

Damaged Power Adapter(Charger)

After plugging the AC adapter into the AC port a light at the bottom left corner of the laptop should display either a white light indicating laptop is fully charged, an orange light indicating its charging at the moment, or a flashing orange light indicating very low battery and it should be left unused so it can charge quicker. If none of these indications occurs it means your adapter is broken.

Faulty Battery

Check to see if battery is secured and locked in place. Plug in the AC adapter(charger) then turn on the laptop. After the laptop turns on unplug the AC adapter. If laptop shuts off right away upon removing adapter it is indicative of a faulty battery and the battery may need to be replaced. Computer Won't Boot

Your computer does not load the Operating System and instead takes you to an error message.

Hard Drive Error

Your computer enter an endless cycle of resetting without entering the usual home screen. If a blue screen with intricate error codes appears it may be necessary to replace the hard drive.

Replace Hard Drive

If the device is experiencing a loop which resets the device then automatically turning it back on there may be an issue with the hard drive. After a couple of loops a blue screen will appear displaying some error message. This is known as 'Blue Screen of Death'. This blue screen is a sign that your hard drive could be corrupted and need to be replace. Click here for a guide on how to replace your hard drive.

Not Enough RAM

In some cases a blue error screen may be the result of faulty RAM storage. Overusing the device memory can lead to the crashing of certain programs, or even a complete system crash. A possible solution would be to check the amount of memory being used at the time and make sure that it is not exceeding the amount your RAM is able to handle.

Connectivity Issues

Check Router Connection

Check your router box and see if the WiFi display light is on, if not reset your router by either finding the reset button for your router and press it or unplug the main power cord of your router and re plugging it.

Check WiFi Setting

On the home screen a WiFi icon is on the bottom right corner. Click on the WiFi icon and locate your unique WiFi display name. Click on the WiFi icon associated with the network connection and enter your WiFi password. The WiFi password may be located on WiFi router.

Outdated Drivers

Make sure that your WiFi is turned by placing the cursor on the WiFi icon on laptop display screen. If Wi-Fi is already on and the computer cannot properly connect to Wi-Fi go to the Lenovo website and download the appropriate driver for the correct operating system.

No Display

Your device won't load onto your desktop home screen.

Force Restart

Hold the power button for 10 second to make sure your system is completely shut down. Let the laptop sit for about 5-10 minutes before turning it back on. Sometimes this can solve the problem due to software issues causing the laptop to freeze up.

Damaged Screen

Failure to Read CD's and DVD's

Your Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15IBR will not read any CD's or DVD's.

Disk is Scratched

Before you proceed to replacing optical drive check to see If the disc you inserted is noticeably scratched consider replacing the disc as this could be the reason the disc will not play.

Broken/Defective Optical Drive
