Objective:

The goal of this project is to develop a practical best practices document that will be used by shipyards as guidance for implementing fire prevention and response measures that comply with the current NAVSEA 8010 manual. This project will tabulate and compare current standards and regulations, survey participating shipyards, identify and record best practices for fire prevention and response, and present a report detailing the standards and regulations comparison and the identified best practices.
